1. Introduction

Welcome to Antiphone ("the App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. The Antiphone Service

Antiphone is a minimalist launcher designed to help you use your smartphone more mindfully. Its primary goal is to help you combat screen addiction by providing tools to block distracting applications, eliminate mindless scrolling, and reduce your overall screen time.

3. App Access, Free Trial, and Subscriptions

3.1. Free Trial

Antiphone offers a free trial period to all new users. During the trial, you will have complete and unlimited access to all features of the application. You will not be charged during the free trial. If you do not wish to subscribe, you must cancel before the trial period ends.

3.2. Subscriptions and Payments

Access to Antiphone after the free trial period requires an active subscription. We offer an auto-renewing monthly subscription, an auto-renewing annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase.

  • Payment: Payment will be charged to your app store account (e.g., Apple App Store) after the free trial period concludes, unless you have cancelled beforehand. Prices are displayed in your local currency within the app and may vary by region.
  • Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off in your app store account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions at any time through your app store account settings. If you cancel your subscription, access to the App will terminate at the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be provided for any unused portion of a subscription term.

4. User Responsibilities (Acceptable Use)

By using Antiphone, you agree to:

  • Use the App for its intended purpose of digital wellness and productivity.
  • Not attempt to bypass, disable, or otherwise circumvent the App's blocking mechanisms through unauthorized means.
  • Not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Take responsibility for all activities that occur under your usage of the App.

5. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for:

  • The accuracy of screen time tracking data.
  • Any consequences, personal or professional, resulting from the blocking or unblocking of applications.
  • Any loss or damage resulting from your use of the App.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users of the App, us, or third parties.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Terms within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
